Scoring Matrix
A player's score for an action is made up of Base Points plus any specific Positional Points e.g.
Missing a Big Chance is -10 for any player, but forwards receive an additional -5 penalty (total: -15) since they are expected to convert these chances.
Defenders lose -5 points for being dispossessed, while forwards only lose -1 because they take more risks in attack.
Scoring Cut Off Time
Cut-Off Time: Midnight UTC, after the final game of the tournament.
Example: If the last game of a tournament is on the 25th. At midnight UTC after this game, all scores are locked. No further changes will be applied. Once locked, player scores are final.

Wins and Draws
Players get points for winning or drawing matches, with a small boost for winning in higher qualities of competition. This provides some balance between the different competitions. The maximum win bonus is 30, and the lowest is 10. For example, the Champions League is ranked higher than the Europa League, so players earn +10 additional points for a win in the Champions League. This ensures that, if two strikers perform identically but one does so in a tougher competition, the extra +10 points gives them the edge.
Competition rankings are based on OPTA Power Rankings (team strength based on real-life performances) and club transfer market value. These rankings will be updated periodically to reflect real-world shifts.

Big Match Modifier
When two teams with high OPTA Power Rankings face off, the match qualifies as a Big Match. Example:
If Real Madrid plays Barcelona in La Liga, the winning team receives the maximum 30-point bonus to reflect the game’s prestige.
If PSG faces a top club like Lille, Lyon, or Monaco, they would receive a +20 win bonus—the same as in La Liga.
The maximum win bonus is capped at 30 points—even if two top-tier clubs face off in the Premier League or Champions League knockouts, no additional boost is applied.
