Question 1

How are Picks rewards calculated?

Accepted Answer

| Beat your division average to qualify for a Picks reward. Your share of the reward pool is based on the division you're competing in, the value you field in your lineup and your finishing position in your division.

Beat the average to qualify

Your Picks score is compared with the average score in your division.
If you beat the division average, you qualify for a share of the Picks reward pool. You don’t need to finish in a particular percentage of your division to qualify.
You must finish the tournament with a complete, eligible lineup of five Picks to qualify for Picks rewards. An incomplete lineup cannot earn a Picks reward, even your players score above the division average.

|| Not all divisions have rewards in Pro - you'll need to be in Gold, Diamond or Elite division to compete for rewards

How the rewards are calculated

Once you qualify, your Picks rewards reflect:

Your conviction: the eligible value you hold in your five Picks, after any concentration adjustment (see below).
Your performance: how high you finish in your division.
Your progression: the division you've reached through your Picks performances.

Your finishing position give you a performance multiplier:

| Finish in your division | Performance multiplier | | ---- | ---- | | Top 1% | 5× | | Top 5% | 4× | | Top 10% | 3× | | Top 25% | 2× | | All other qu

Question 2

How does Football scoring work?

Accepted Answer

| Football players earn and lose points from real match events. Some actions carry the same points across all positions, some have different weighting depending on where the player plays.

The Sport.fun scoring model rewards the full range of contributions players make on the pitch - from goals and assists to tackles, interceptions, key passes and goalkeeper actions.

Decisive actions carry the greatest rewards, while routine actions contribute more modestly - this helps scores reflect both the statistics and what fans see on the pitch.

Scoring is the same across the free to play and Pro versions of Football.

How scoring works

Scores are calculated using official match data supplied by Opta, which records and classifies each action.
Points vary by position. The matrix below shows the total points awarded for each action, not additional position bonuses.
Some actions stack (score in more than one category). For example, a midfielder completing an accurate pass in the final third also scores for an accurate pass in the opposition half, earning 0.75 points in total: 0.50 + 0.25.
In cup matches, scoring continues until the end of extra time. Actions during a penalty shoot-out do not count.

|| Live scores may change if Opta updates or corrects the underlying match data. Scores are finalised at midnight UTC following the final match of the tournament.

What’s inside each pack?

Each $5 pack contains 1,600 shares, split equally between the four new NFL players chosen by the community:

Question 4

Picks changes for 2026-27 [14/08/26]

Accepted Answer

| We’re updating Picks to make it easier to understand who you can select, how to qualify for rewards and what determines your payout.

Picks is getting simpler

The format of Picks isn’t changing: you’ll still select five players, choose a Captain and compete against other managers in your division. The changes are focused on removing some of the pain points managers experienced during the first version of Picks.

One clear target: beat your division average

Under the current system, your Picks Bonus depends partly on individual players in your lineup finishing in rewarded positions. This can make the connection between your overall Picks performance and your final reward difficult to follow.

We’re replacing this with a clearer target: Beat the average Picks score in your division to qualify for a reward.

Your complete Picks lineup will determine whether you qualify. Managers who score above their division average will qualify, while managers who score at or below it will not.

How far you finish above the average will matter too. Qualifying managers will receive different performance weights based on their final position in the division, with the strongest performances receiving the greatest reward weight.

This will make rewards more closely reflect your overall Picks performance. A great differential selection can still help you beat the average or finish near the top of your division, but rewards will no longer depend on individual Picks reaching separate

Question 5

Football scoring changes for 2026-27 [14/08/26]

Accepted Answer

| Ahead of the new season, we've made a number of refinements to the scoring system.

Improving the scoring model

Our aim wasn't to fundamentally reshape player values or change the way the game is played. Instead, we've focused on making scores better reflect the moments that have the biggest impact on a football match.

Our goals were simple:

Reward meaningful football actions more consistently.
Avoid overly harsh penalties for positive attacking play.
Reduce the influence of routine actions.
Give greater emphasis to decisive moments, creative play and match-defining defensive actions.
Better reflect the unique contribution of goalkeepers.
Maintain the overall balance of player values and tournament outcomes.

What's changed?

Some of the key changes include:

Goals have been given greater emphasis to better reflect their importance in deciding football matches, while ensuring the wider scoring model remains balanced.
Goalkeepers have been rebalanced to reward decisive actions such as commanding the area, sweeping and making important saves, while routine actions contribute less.
The first goal conceded no longer carries a points penalty, avoiding the double impact of both conceding points and losing the clean sheet reward.
Passing has been rebalanced to place greater emphasis on progressive passes into the final third, while routine possession contributes slightly less.
We've reduced some of the harsher attacking penalties

Question 6

How to play Picks on Pro Football

Accepted Answer

| Each football tournament, you can choose a five-player lineup and try to beat other managers in your division to win extra TP rewards

Picks is a skill-based competition on top of the main tournament game.

To enter Picks, you choose a five-player lineup and try to beat other managers in your division to win rewards.

Build your Picks lineup

Your five-player lineup is composed of one player from each position - GK, DEF, MID, FWD, plus a final 'Flex' position where you can play any position.
Players are eligible to be picked if you hold at least 1.5% of your active squad value in them, or $500 (whichever is the lower).
In some divisions and some tournaments, you can also choose 'loan players' which do not meet this criteria (see Loans and player eligibility below)
You can choose a maximum of two players from the same club.
Every player has a salary, based on their expected performance, which is fixed for the tournament. You must keep your five picks within the 100-point salary cap.
Choose one of your five picks as Captain. Their score is multiplied by 1.5x.
Picks works on 'rolling locks' i.e.: a player is locked into your lineup the moment they enter the pitch. Until then you can swap them out.
Your Captain locks once they enter the pitch. Until then, you can change your Captain at any time.
You must submit a full, five-player lineup before the end of the tournament to qualify for rewards.
