Tournaments

Tournaments are where your squad competes. Perform well, place high, earn TP, and keep climbing.

You compete automatically when you hold eligible active shares in players who play during the window
Rewards are earned by the top performers by position
Rewards are paid in Tournament Points (TP)
Timing and eligibility matter, especially around snapshots

When Do Tournaments Happen?

Football.fun Tournaments take place twice a week:

At the end of each tournament, results are finalised and rewards are distributed before the next tournament begins automatically.

You don’t manually submit a lineup. To be eligible:

you must hold active shares with contracts
if the player enters the pitch during the tournament window, they can score and place

Only up to 75 players from your squad can be eligible for rewards in a tournament. Manage this in Squad → Selection.

All players are set as active & unbenched by default.
DNP and No Contract players do not count toward your 75-player cap.
After 75 players have entered the pitch, any additional players will not contribute to your rewards.
If a player already entered the pitch, they still count toward your 75 cap, but any shares sold after snapshot are not eligible for rewards.

You can bench players to exclude them from tournament eligibility:

Manage benches directly from the Selection page by tapping to bench/unbench players.
Benched players do not consume contracts and are excluded from rewards.
Once you confirm your squad selection, it stays locked until you make changes - there’s no need to update every game week unless you want to.

There’s 3 important things when it comes to tournament play.

Your eligible shares in a player (more eligible shares = a larger slice if they place)
Total eligible shares in the tournament (more competition splits the reward pool more)
Player performance (top performers by position get rewarded)
Top 5 Forwards, Midfielders, Defenders are rewarded
Top 3 Goalkeepers are rewarded
