Selection: Football
Selection is where you choose which of your players are active for the next tournament. It lives on the Squad page, on the Selection tab.
Active and benched
Every player you hold is either active or benched. Tap a player to toggle between the two.
- Active. The player is in your tournament squad. They are eligible for rewards and use one contract match when they play.
- Benched. The player is paused. They will not earn rewards and will not use a contract.
Benched players stay benched until you bring them back. Benching only sets a player aside, you still own the shares.
Tournament Squad Cap
Only 75 of your players can enter a single tournament. A bar on the Selection tab shows how many you have active for the next tournament against that cap, and turns red if you go over.
A few things worth knowing:
- The cap is a player count, not a budget. You can hold more than 75 players, you just cannot send more than 75 into one tournament.
- If you go over 75, only the first 75 to enter the pitch are eligible for rewards.
- Only players with a contract remaining and a fixture in the next tournament count toward the cap.
This is separate from the Picks salary cap, which limits the combined salary of your 5-pick lineup.

Saving your selection
Changes are not live until you confirm them. When you confirm, you get a summary of who you are activating and benching, and a heads-up if your active count is over 75.
Once confirmed, your selection stays in place until you change it. You do not need to update it every tournament unless you want to.
