# Which players are available in NFL?

| NFL features a curated selection of players from the NFL

### NFL players

You can buy shares in a selection of NFL players across these four positions:

* Quarterbacks
* Tight Ends
* Wide Receivers
* Running Backs

This does not include every player from every team. The game currently features around **73 players**, and the available player pool may change over time.

You can browse all currently available players from the **Trades page**.

### What happens when a player changes club?

If a player moves to another team, they remain available in the game and their details will be updated.

If they move outside of the NFL or retire, they become inactive - or **retired**:

* You keep any shares you already hold.
* You can still release those shares and return the resulting Gold to your balance.
* You cannot sign any more shares in that player.
* The player will no longer appear as available to buy from the market.

|| A retired player may become active again if they later move back to the NFL and are returned to the available player pool.
